Former minister T. Harish Rao has launched a scathing counter to the Congress government’s handling of the Kaleshwaram Project report, demanding that the entire 650-page report be made public, not just selected excerpts. He warned that if the full report is not presented in the upcoming Assembly session, the BRS is fully prepared to break down and challenge the government’s narrative.
Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government intentionally released only cherry-picked portions of the report to shape a one-sided story. “If the report is truly credible, it’s effectively questioning the decisions of the Central Water Commission and other senior bureaucrats, many of whom were involved under the Government of India,” he said.
He further criticized the report for lacking balance: “It seems like the commission only listened to one side of the story. There was no attempt to cross-check or evaluate the full context.”
Taking a jibe at CM Revanth Reddy, Harish Rao added, “He seems to be a professional in forming commissions. Be it on projects, governance, or even E-car races, he’s been rolling them out like daily serials. If there’s one thing he’s consistent in, it’s announcing a new commission every few weeks.”
Referencing political history, Harish Rao remarked, “In the past, commissions were set up against Indira Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu, and none stood in court. Politically driven commissions don’t survive judicial scrutiny, and this one is no exception.”
He ended by challenging the government: “Have the courage to put the full report before the public. Don’t hide behind selective leaks. We’ll respond, line by line, and let the facts speak for themselves.”
